One Year Later
one year later
I take my mask off
and my chin has folds,
and my skin is older
there are downward wrinkles
around my lips
marking my unconscious tension,
indicating a shorter route towards my heart
not the one I usually take
through the upper part
of my heavy head
buzzing and buzzing
until the ears ring the alarm
now I am expected to wear my mask again,
not knowing how my face would change,
and what new wrinkles I will discover
next time it falls down.
