Sonic Attack

there’s a sonic attack

one with limited broadcast

I checked the news tonight

and none reports about it

my brain has shrunk in size

under tightened sound straps

mercilessly fixated

by odd words with no roots

will power succumbs

under the pile of stray thoughts

neck tightened by sounds

stale waves reverberating

I need to break the dam

release the stream of echoes

spill over the abuse

expose how words can bruise.
